Backbone State Park will be the site for a couple of events coming up this fall.
The Lake Loop Route Tours will be held Sunday, September 18th and again on Sunday, October 2nd, giving you a chance to learn about route marking, hazards and interesting history and facts about Iowa’s oldest state park. You can choose from the noon or 3 pm time slots and the pace will be leisurely, so plan for a one and a half hour to three hour tour. Meet in front of the concession building at the Beach and bring your own water and supplies.
And runners – mark your calendars for the Backbone Trail Run set for Saturday, October 8th.
