The city of Ryan is under a Boil Order Advisory.
Superintendent Shawn Kehrli says they’re recommending Ryan residents boil their water for drinking and cooking purposes. He says it is not required.
A water main was hit by a contractor who was doing some work in town over the noon hour on Thursday. Kehrli says he has the area isolated. While some residents were experiencing low water pressure for a short time, the water pressure returned to normal about an hour later.
The Boil Order Advisory will be in effect through at least 6 pm on Friday night.
