West Union Man Arrested on Meth Charges in Manchester

A West Union man has been arrested on meth charges in Manchester.

The Manchester Police Department says one of their officers was conducting routine patrol early Friday morning shortly before 3 am when he saw a man walking on Jasper Street to a vehicle parked in a private driveway. Knowing the vehicle did not belong there, the officer stopped to speak with the man, who wasn’t able to give the name of the residents who lived there.

Police say further investigation uncovered that the man, 40-year old Timothy Birmingham, was barred from operating a motor vehicle in Iowa and possessing meth and drug paraphernalia.

Birmingham was arrested and faces several charges.
