A Dubuque County native is one step closer to the position of Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at USDA.
The U.S. Senate Ag Committee advanced Alexis Taylor’s nomination on Tuesday.
Taylor is President Biden’s nominee and received praise from U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley during a nominations hearing before the U.S. Senate Ag Committee last Thursday. The 2000 Beckman graduate grew up on a farm near Holy Cross and currently serves as Director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
The Senate Ag Committee now sends Taylor’s nomination for Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs to the full U.S. Senate.
