Manchester Chamber Hosting Women’s Night

The Manchester Chamber is hosting their annual Women’s Night tonight – though it’s back for the first time in-person tonight since the event started in 2019.

The “EmpowHER: Get Connected” Women’s Night event will run from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion, with women from the area invited to enjoy a meal, vendors and raffle items. Certified health and life coach Andrea Mausser will be tonight’s guest speaker.

And the highlight of the night will be the announcement of the Manchester Area Woman of the Year. This year’s three nominees are Lisa Guetzko, Natalie Mormann and Linda Bessey.

Guetzko was nominated for being an active volunteer in the West Delaware school district, as well as her involvement in major projects at the Good Neighbor Society and Regional Medical Center, volunteering in many aspects at her church, serving on the board for the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County and being instrumental in forming Delaware County Pay It Forward.

Natalie Mormann, the owner of Finery in Manchester, was nominated for her work in supporting small businesses and spearheading the Pink Hummingbird Project in memory of her mom, Deb Wendt. The project provides care packages and gift cards to area patients undergoing cancer treatment.

And Linda Bessey, who has worked many years at Community Savings Bank, was nominated for her years of service on the West Delaware School Board, the Regional Medical Center Fundraising Committee and the Manchester Lions Club.

The Woman of the Year winner will receive the title that only two area women have received so far – Shirley Helmrichs and Mindi Jackson. The honor was just created three years ago in 2019.
