Delaware County Taking Appointments for Electronic & Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event

Delaware County is holding an Electronic and Hazardous Waste Cleanup Day next weekend.

On Saturday morning, October 15th, residents can bring hazardous materials and electronic items they no longer want to the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester from 8 am to noon.

Delaware County Supervisor Shirley Helmrichs says they’ll accept such electronics such as computers, TVs, monitors, small kitchen appliances, stereos and printers – as well as household hazardous waste such as old pesticides, oil-based paints, solvents and automotive products, including vehicle batteries.

They will NOT accept water-based latex paint nor farm or business chemicals or waste. Large appliances will not be accepted either.

This cleanup event is open to all Delaware County residents, as well as residents from Dyersville, Edgewood, Strawberry Point and Coggon.

Appointments are required by October 13th at https://calendly.com/dmaswarcc/delaware-county-special-collection. If you don’t have an appointment, you’ll have to wait until all of those with scheduled appointments have checked in or there is a gap in the schedule.
