East Buchanan High School is hosting a concert this afternoon.
Nashville recording artist Adam Calvert will be performing in the high school gym in Winthrop. It’s called “Buc Bash” and business teacher Erin Kelchen says the East Buchanan Sports and Entertainment Marketing Class has spent the past seven weeks planning and promoting the event.
Buc Bash is a partnership with Reach and Teach, a non-profit educational program. The whole point of Buc Bash is to allow students to explore career opportunities and allow the student body a mental break. Local businesses have supported the event, with funds of over $3,500.
East Buchanan sophomore students Cheyenne Beeh and Jamisin Gile say it’s been a great experience so far and they’re looking forward to today’s concert.
Today’s concert starts at 1:30 pm and runs until 3 pm. Everyone is welcome – tickets are ten dollars at the door.
