The Good Neighbor Society in Manchester is raising money for a new vehicle for their campus.
Leticia Timmerman, Recreation Director at The Meadows, says they want to make sure their residents and tenants stay close with their community – and this new vehicle will help them do that.
The new vehicle they’ve just purchased is a Sprinter Van – and it’s being outfitted with seating, wheelchair accessibility, a lift and customized flooring. When it’s finished, the van will be able to accommodate up to 14 passengers and two wheelchairs.
Katie Edgington, Director at The Meadows, says to make this a reality for the Good Neighbor Society’s residents and tenants, they needed to do some fundraising – and they’re getting close to their goal, thanks to the community’s support.
If you would like to donate towards the Good Neighbor Society’s new passenger van, you can mail or drop off your donations – or you can donate online at goodneighborsociety.org.
The van is expected to be ready within a couple weeks – and they’re hoping to get in a couple of day trips yet this fall.
