Regional Medical Center in Manchester announced Wednesday that they are restricting children under 14 from visiting patients in the hospital at this time.
RMC says the decision is due to increased respiratory illness and pediatric respiratory hospitalizations in the community. By restricting visitors, their goal is to prevent unnecessary illness from being brought into the hospital.
Patients are encouraged to come alone to healthcare appointments at Regional Family Health clinics and Regional Medical Center – however, they do understand there are times where it is necessary and appropriate to bring someone along with you.
