There’s a vacant seat on the Independence Community School Board.
Brad Bleichner resigned as District #1 Director on Friday, with the board expected to officially accept his resignation at their meeting next Monday night.
The board is looking to fill Bleichner’s seat by appointment. Independence residents who live in District #1 are welcome to apply by contacting the board secretary.
Any Independence Community School District voters who think the seat should be filled by a special election instead have the right to file a petition, which must be submitted to the board secretary by December 22nd.
