Manchester Police Chief Encourages Residents to Stay Safe During Winter Storm

Manchester Police Chief Jim Hauschild is encouraging residents to take steps to stay safe during this winter storm.

Hauschild says the easiest way to do that is to just stay home.

If you absolutely need to travel, he says there are a couple things to remember.

Along with the snow and the wind, we’re going to be dealing with sub-zero temperatures on the back side of this storm.

Snow plows were out last night on Manchester’s city streets, with a Snow Emergency and alternate-side parking in effect. Chief Hauschild says that will be the case again on Thursday night, with vehicles required to park on the even side of the street.

Manchester’s alternate-side parking will go into effect at 10 pm tonight and run through 7 am Friday.
