Manchester residents will see a change in their trash and recycling pickup days.
Kluesner Sanitation has asked the Manchester City Council to amend their contract so their crews can pick up the entire town in one day – on Wednesdays.
Trash will be picked up every week, with recycling to be picked up every other week. Recycling on the north side of town (north of Fayette Street) will be picked up on A Week. Recycling on the south side of town (including both sides of Fayette Street and south of Fayette Street) will be picked up on B Week.
Kluesner Sanitation would also like to start picking up at 6 am instead of 7 am – that’s because they’d prefer to get through the neighborhoods by the schools before the busy traffic moves in.
The Manchester City Council approved their request at last night’s meeting. More information will come to residents from the City and Kluesner Sanitation.
Kluesner plans to make the change effective starting February 1st.
