Annie’s Project for Farm Women Coming to Edgewood

An ag program designed just for women is coming to Edgewood.

ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County and Clayton County are partnering to host “Annie’s Project” a farm business management program for area women in agriculture. 

Annie’s Project is designed for women and facilitated by women agriculture professionals.  Sessions include brief presentations and extended discussions with women agriculture professionals on topics of importance to participants’ future in agribusiness. They’ll cover such topics as building and understanding farm financial statements, grain marketing, crop and farm business insurance, farm tax and accounting issues, legal liability and employment issues, transition, estate and financial planning. And they’ll address other topics depending on the needs and interests of the group.

The 6-week course will be held on Tuesdays beginning Feb. 7th and continuing Feb. 14th, Feb. 21st, Feb. 28th, March 7th & March 14th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. (with social time at 4 p.m.) at Woods Edge Golf Course in Edgewood. 

Cost for the program is $75, which includes the 18-hour course, program materials and light snacks each week. Class size is limited to 25 women.
