Delaware County Extension Holds Astro Camp for Kids

ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County held their first session of ‘Astro Camp’ day camp on Monday as a part of their 2022-2023 School’s Out Day Camps.

Seventeen kids participated in the day, which was full of NASA-sponsored activities.

They started the day by designing their own mission patches. The next activity was a ‘tower power’ engineering design challenge, where youth created model rocket launch towers using only index cards. In the afternoon, they did some binary code challenges, learning how the code language can represent information. And the day ended with the kids doing stomp rocket launches.
