Firefighters were called out to a machine shed fire west of Dyersville on Thursday night.
Dyersville and Earlville fire departments responded to the Jerry and Joyce Tucker farm at 3119 221st Street around 9:30 pm. Deputies from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
Dyersville Fire Chief Jeremy Honkomp says a heat lamp started the fire, which spread to the roof. The building sustained extensive damage. The fire destroyed a combine and damaged a tractor.
No one was hurt.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours.
