Manchester’s fire chief has been placed on administrative leave.
City Manager Tim Vick says Fire Chief Mike Ryan was placed on administrative leave last Tuesday, March 7th pending an investigation into a formal complaint received by the City. Vick says this is a personnel matter.
The City is not making any additional statements at this time.
Ryan has served the Manchester community as a firefighter for more than 40 years. He led as fire chief from 1992 to 1997 and again from 2011 until now.
