Manchester Fire Chief Placed on Administrative Leave

Manchester’s fire chief has been placed on administrative leave.
City Manager Tim Vick says Fire Chief Mike Ryan was placed on administrative leave last Tuesday, March 7th pending an investigation into a formal complaint received by the City. Vick says this is a personnel matter.
The City is not making any additional statements at this time.
Ryan has served the Manchester community as a firefighter for more than 40 years. He led as fire chief from 1992 to 1997 and again from 2011 until now.
Ryan tells KMCH the public can be assured that the members of the Manchester Fire Department will continue to provide the same exemplary services when called upon as in the past.
Randy Rattenborg will serve as acting fire chief during Ryan’s leave.
