A special documentary will be shown at Castle Theatre in Manchester this Friday night, with the focus on suicide prevention.
It’s called “My Ascension”, a story about a teen who tried taking her own life. The film was created to inspire and educate audiences.
Jessica Pape with the Delaware County Suicide Prevention Coalition says their group is hosting the event, which will include a visit from the person the documentary is about – Emma Benoit.
Pape says the Coalition meets on a regular basis, focusing on helping teens with brain health – and anyone is welcome to get involved.
Tonight’s “My Ascension” documentary starts at 6:30 pm at Castle Theatre, with doors opening at 6 pm. The 90-minute film is free for anyone to attend, with free popcorn too. You can watch a preview of the film at MyAscension.us.
