The Bread Basket opened in its new Manchester location late last week.
The restaurant used to be located along East Main Street across from Castle Theatre, but they closed their doors last July and made the move down the street to the old Roses in the Snow building on the southwest corner of Franklin and Main. Owner Jackie Mormann says she wasn’t expecting to buy a building, but it just kind of all fell into place.
The Bread Basket was closed for eight months while Mormann made renovations to the space.
They also put a lot of work into the lower level of the building.
The new Bread Basket location also features a large kitchen – much more spacious than what they were used to. But the same great food will be coming out of that kitchen, with the menu you know and love staying pretty much the same with daily entrees, soups, salads and desserts. A soft opening was held last Thursday and Friday – and Mormann says it’s been fun to see everyone again.
