Rural Manchester Field Fire Burns Three Acres

Firefighters responded to a field fire northwest of Manchester on Monday afternoon.

The Manchester Fire Department was called out around 3:30 pm to 2012 145th Avenue.

Acting Fire Chief Randy Rattenborg says burning trash and wind blew the embers into an adjacent set-aside field. A fire ignited, burning about three acres of land.

Firefighters were on the scene for about one hour.

No injuries and no structure damage was reported.
