Dundee Semi Driver Airlifted to Hospital after Rollover Crash

A semi driver was airlifted to the hospital following a rollover crash south of Dundee on Thursday afternoon.

The Iowa State Patrol says 60-year old Michael Nelson of Dundee was driving south on 130th Avenue near Dove Road around 2 pm when he tried picking up a GPS unit that fell.

Nelson’s semi drifted onto the right shoulder and he overcorrected. The semi lost control and went into the east ditch, where it rolled over.

Nelson was injured and airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
