Manchester City Council Discusses ATVs, Speed Limits & Compost Fees

The City of Manchester is taking steps to revise its ATV/UTV ordinance, with the council approving the first reading of three readings at the meeting on Monday night. City Manager Tim Vick:
Mayor Connie Behnken says they’ve also taken the first step to raising the speed limit along East Main Street from Bailey Drive to McCarren Drive from 25 to 30 miles per hour.
The City Council has also approved the first reading of an ordinance that would amend the City’s compost area maintenance fees. Operational costs of the compost facility have exceeded the revenues generated by the fee applied to residents’ utility bills, so City staff is recommending the City Council increase the monthly fee from three dollars to four dollars.
