Ryan Community Endowment Accepting Grant Applications

Projects and programs in the Ryan area are about to benefit from a new endowment fund.

The Ryan Community Endowment got its start a couple years ago – and it’s been so successful that they are now getting ready to hand out their first round of grants. Committee member Tom McDonald explains:

McDonald says this stranger decided to donate money towards qualified small towns and Ryan was one of the first three to be accepted.

He says the Ryan Endowment Fund covers more than just the Ryan city limits.

Fellow committee member Lucas Leonard says the Ryan Community Endowment Committee is now accepting grant applications.

The Ryan Endowment Committee welcomes requests up to five-thousand dollars to jumpstart projects or programs that make Ryan a vibrant and welcoming place for all residents – and Leonard says all the donations that have come in to help with that mission is greatly appreciated.

Community partners may request an application by email from Marcia Voelker at bmvoelker@iowatelecom.net. Grant applications are due June 1st.

The Ryan Endowment Committee members include Elizabeth Feldmann, Marcia Voelker, Jeff Zumbach, Ken Ries, Jason Stepanek, Lorraine Gaffney, Justin Wenger, Mike Ryan, Lucas Leonard and Tom McDonald. You can find more information on the ‘Ryan Community Endowment’ Facebook page.
