Traveling Bicyclists Stop to Volunteer at Delaware County Food Bank

A couple of bicyclists traveling across the country made a stop in Manchester on Thursday – spending their time volunteering at the Delaware County Food Bank.

Nebraska residents and artists Katarina Auer and Brian Mitchell recently set out on a mission to journey across the United States on their bikes.

They’re expecting the trip to take about two years.

Auer and Mitchell say they’ve enjoyed their time in Manchester.

They say their desire to give back has led them on several biking journeys.

They’re heading east to Dubuque County next. If you’d like to help them along their journey with donations, lodging, food or supplies, check out Lavender Llama Art Firm on Facebook or online.
