Manchester’s Shelly Park Renovations Wrapping Up

Manchester’s Shelly Park has gotten a face lift this spring.

The park sits right in the heart of downtown Manchester overlooking the Whitewater Park.

City Manager Tim Vick says when funding became available through a COVID-19 Community Development Block Grant, they decided to move ahead with renovations.

City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley says the goal is to bring more people to downtown Manchester, with Shelly Park getting the opportunity to now serve as the community’s social hub.

The City says they’re proud of how the Shelly Park renovation project turned out, with a few finishing touches that should wrap up by mid-July.
