Independence Man Injured in Rollover

An Independence man was injured in a rollover on Saturday afternoon.

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says Danny Dodd was driving westbound in the 2100 block of 220th Street east of Independence when he lost control due to a suspected mechanical failure. The vehicle went off the road and Dodd overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go across both lanes and into the ditch, rolling and coming to rest on its driver side. 

Dodd was assisted out of the vehicle by Sheriff’s deputies and transported to Buchanan County Health Center with minor injuries. 

The accident remains under investigation.
