Manchester City Council Takes First Step in Dollar Tree Development Agreement

The Manchester City Council has approved the first step in a development agreement with Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree started construction last month on their new store on the west end of town at 1050 West Main Street between Dollar General and Dollar Fresh. City Manager Tim Vick says a public hearing was held Monday night on an amendment to the urban renewal plan.

The Council has set June 26th as the date to approve the development agreement. The new Dollar Tree is expected to open in Manchester by November 1st.

Donald and Janet Wendling are splitting off a nearly three-acre parcel of farmstead from the nearly 25 acres of crop ground they own at 1606 220th Street. • And the Manchester City Council has approved installing two 45W LED street lights between Woodland Drive and Bailey Drive. The proposed lights are being requested to be installed while Alliant is in the process of placing their electric wires underground.
