Robins Man Airlifted after Ejected in Highway 13 Motorcycle Crash

One person was airlifted to the hospital following a crash on Highway 13 late Tuesday afternoon.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 72-year old Lawrence Lynch of Robins was driving his trike motorcycle northbound when it crossed the centerline, entered the southbound lane and left the roadway on the west side. It then traveled northwest through the ditch and flipped as it entered a bean field, coming to rest on its wheels.Â
Lynch was ejected and found lying near the motorcycle. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to RMC before being airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.Â
The Sheriff’s Office says there was also damage to the bean field, owned by Chad Rave of Manchester.
