Jones County Democrats & Republicans Hosting Pipeline Presentation

The Jones County Democrats and Republicans are sponsoring a free, public presentation on the proposed CO2 pipelines across Iowa and their impact on Jones County.

Presenters include researcher and impacted land owner, Jessica Wiskus of Lisbon, as well as John Hoffmann of Manchester, a local farmer directly impacted by the proposed pipeline route.

This public presentation will take place tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at the Monticello High School auditorium.

The Jones County Democrats and Republicans say with pipelines proposed in neighboring counties, implementation would have a dramatic impact on the county’s fire departments, EMT’s and city/county/school budgeting.

They’re hoping tonight’s presentation will raise awareness of the issues surrounding any future proposed pipeline proposals, how the citizens of Jones County can best prepare for potential future pipelines and how to keep informed.
