REO Rides Storm Out at Delaware County Fair with Surprise Guest

A huge crowd turned out last night for REO Speedwagon at the Delaware County Fair. Torrential rains fell just two and a half hours before the start of the concert – but the show went on as scheduled after the rain let up, with fairgoers “Ridin’ the Storm Out”.
And there was a special guest at last night’s show – Iowa Women’s Basketball Coach Lisa Bluder, a REO fan herself, attending the concert and surprising the crowd with a special welcome. You can find the full video on our KMCH Facebook page.

Tonight, we turn our attention to country music as Grammy winner Carly Pearce will take the stage with special guest Aaron Watson.
Show time tonight is 7:30 pm, with gates open at 6 pm. Tickets are still available for tonight’s show – with grandstands free. Check out more info at delawarecofair.com.
Also tonight – new Delaware County Fair royalty will be crowned at the concert. Fair Queen Maddie Hoeger of Manchester and Fair Princess Tessa Tauke of Dyersville say they’ve had a fun week at the fair.
They both look forward to coming to the Delaware County Fair every year.
And tonight, they’ll help crown new royalty. There are eight candidates – and you may have seen them around the fairgrounds this week too.
This year’s candidates are Evan Dunkel, Madelynn Zehr, Chloe Peyton, Kaya Knipper, Ashleigh Hartman, Josie Goebel, Maci Cook and Dannie Burkle. And the Delaware County Fair rolls on this weekend – with the fan favorite Truck & Tractor Pull all day on Saturday.
The Draft Horse Show is also going on Saturday night and Sunday in the horse arena – and the Demo Derby wraps it all up on Sunday afternoon. Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says she appreciates everyone who has played a part in this year’s fair.
