Delaware County Public Health Encourages Precautions During Heat Wave

We’ve got one more day of highs in the 90’s before we get a little bit of a break this weekend.

Heat index readings will reach well into the 100’s again today – which could lead to some heat-related illnesses. Delaware County Public Health Supervisor Krystle DeShaw reminds you what to look out for.

And while most of us can find some relief indoors with the AC, some need to work outside in this heat. If you’re one of them, DeShaw has some advice for you.

Delaware County Emergency Management says the Manchester Public Library is available to serve as a cooling station during their regular hours for anyone who needs relief from the heat. If you are in another community and need a place to go, please reach out to your local city office or law enforcement.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 80’s for the weekend.
