Fareway Customers Raise Over $170,000 for Variety Children’s Charity

Fareway Stores has helped to bring in thousands of dollars for charity through their annual Round up at the Register.Â
The grocery store chain had partnered with Variety – the Children’s Charity to conduct the 7th Annual Round Up in July at all 138 store locations, including Manchester, Dyersville and other area communities. Fareway customers were given the opportunity to round up to the next dollar or provide an additional donation on their grocery bill to help fund Variety’s mission.Â
Over $170,000 was raised, which will stay in Iowa to help create opportunities for children who are at-risk, critically ill or living with special needs to fully share in life’s experiences.Â
The top five fundraising stores will now have the opportunity to host a specialized bike giveaway to a child in their community – those stores are Norwalk, Polk City, Clear Lake, Council Bluffs and Clinton.Â
Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer says they thank their generous customers for their heartfelt donations.
