Nominations Open for Iowa STEM Teacher Award

Do you know a teacher who deserves this award?

It’s called the Iowa STEM Teacher Award – and it recognizes a full-time licensed Pre-K through 12 teacher whose passion for science, technology, engineering and math motivates their students to develop a lifelong interest in STEM fields – both in and out of the classroom.

The award is offered by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the Iowa Department of Education and they’re partnering with Kemin Industries for the award’s 10th year.

Six winners are chosen from each of the state’s six STEM regions. They will each receive an award of $1,500 for their classrooms and $1,500 for personal use.

Anyone can nominate a teacher – just go online to complete the nomination form at iowastem.org/teacheraward-application. Nominations are due October 10th, with the Iowa STEM Teacher Award winners to be announced in early 2024.
