Corn in the dough stage reached 92 percent this week – ten days ahead of average – and 39 percent of the corn crop was dented – that’s three days ahead of normal.

Soybeans setting pods reached 94 percent – a week ahead of average – with soybeans starting to turn color now at four percent.

Oats harvested for grain reached 98 percent – a week ahead of average.

The State’s third cutting of alfalfa hay reached 82 percent complete – that’s 16 days ahead of normal. Livestock producers are continuing to supplement with hay due to the prolonged dry conditions.
