Congresswoman Ashley Hinson was in Manchester on Wednesday, meeting with the National Pork Producers Council.
Hinson and the council are working together to enact the EATS Act and stop the Prop 12 “bacon ban.” She says Iowa farmers don’t need radical activists who have never stepped foot on a farm to tell them how to do their job.
The congresswoman also hosted a town hall meeting in Buchanan county on Wednesday afternoon at the Independence Public Library. Hinson says they discussed the importance of bolstering crop insurance in the Farm Bill, preventing China from buying U.S. farmland, and accountability for Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal.
