MidwestOne Bank Consolidating Dyersville Locations

MidwestOne Bank has announced they’ll be consolidating their Dyersville locations.

The bank’s Main Office on First Avenue will close on November 28th, with the business moving entirely to the Highway 136 Office.

Regional President Michael Fitzgerald says it wasn’t a decision they took lightly, but he says they feel Dyersville can be served by one location. Fitzgerald says since COVID, technology has moved many of their customers to the digital platform, with the majority of in-person transactions taking place at the Highway 136 office. He says a number of employees are also retiring in that market, which will leave only five employees in the Main Office on First Avenue.

Fitzgerald says the Highway 136 office will be remodeled, with the five downtown employees moving to that location.

MidwestOne Bank’s First Avenue building has been a longtime staple of the downtown Dyersville area. It was once The National Bank, which was acquired by American Trust & Savings Bank in 1986.

With the consolidation plans announced, the downtown bank building will go up for sale.
