A section of Highway 20 is undergoing road work in Delaware County.
The road work stretches from Manchester’s Highway 13 and Exit 277 (County Road D-5X, also known as Jefferson Road). The left lane is closed in both directions.
The DOT says they are replacing the deck joints, back wall, and bridge approach on the Maquoketa River bridges in both directions on US-20. The work is being done half at a time, with traffic maintained on a single lane.
The width limit is 17 feet in the work zone. Due to those width restrictions, wide loads may be coming through Manchester.
The DOT is expecting to spend about three and a half weeks on each half and should finish mid-October.
