Delaware County’s burn ban has been lifted.
The burn ban meant large scale outdoor burning was not allowed for the past week. The ban was implemented last week Tuesday due to the dry conditions and lack of measurable rain in the forecast. Delaware County Emergency Management says last weekend’s State Fire Convention also meant a shortage of firefighters in the county during that time.
The burn ban was lifted on Wednesday at 10 am.
Burn bans remain in effect for Buchanan and Fayette counties.
