Chambers Hired to Help Promote Cascade Community

There’s a new face helping to promote the Cascade community.

The City of Cascade and the Cascade Chamber have hired their first full-time Director of Community and Business Promotion. Sean Chambers was welcomed to the new position a few weeks ago. Chambers grew up in Dubuque and his mom is a Monticello native, so he’s familiar with the area.

Chambers says he enjoys working in a smaller community.

Chamber’s duties will be split between the Cascade Chamber and the City, by focusing on promotion of both Chamber businesses and the community. This newly-created and jointly-funded position came from a number of visioning efforts that prioritized promotion, volunteer coordination and a stronger marketing effort.

He says the Cascade community is already strong.

As he mentioned, one of his first community events will be the Cascade Chamber’s 2nd Sunset Street Market. The market will take place Friday, October 6th from 5 to 9 pm in downtown Cascade, with over thirty local vendors on hand and retail businesses open too. Along with shopping, food and drinks, they’ll also have live music, with Sarah Boyle performing from 5 to 6 pm and River Moonshine Band from 6 to 9 pm. You can find more information by checking out Sunset Street Market on Facebook.
