Manchester’s River Runner Regatta Cancelled

Manchester’s River Runner Regatta has been cancelled for this year.

The Franklin Street Brewing Company in Manchester has hosted the annual Regatta at the Manchester Whitewater Park for the past eight years, with cardboard boats racing down the river.

It was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 19th, but due to lower water levels, they moved the event to this Saturday, September 30th. But water levels haven’t improved – and on Friday, the Brewery announced that due to continued low water levels and safety reasons, this year’s River Runner Regatta has been cancelled.

The Franklin Street Brewing Company still plan to hold their Saturday entertainment though, with food from Judy’s food truck and music by Dennie & Bernie starting at 6 pm.
