Sherman Won’t Appear on Manchester Ballot, Running as Write-In

Manchester City Council member Dean Sherman’s name will not be on the ballot for the November election as he intended, so he’ll be running as a write-in candidate.

Sherman says it’s not by choice – but rather due to a unique situation that unfolded after he filed his papers to run for the Manchester City Council and the NICC Board of Trustees.

He says it’s due to a rule in the Iowa code.

Sherman will run as a write-in candidate for re-election to the Manchester City Council 1st Ward seat. He is being challenged for that seat by Joseph Dittrick, whose name will appear on the November ballot.
