Manchester Council Approves Development Agreement for Additional Housing

Manchester will see some more housing in the near future.
Joe Hildebrand is working with the City to create a new residential development on the west end of town. City Manager Tim Vick says it’s called Westside Estates and it will be located on the west side of Highway 13 just north of the Casey’s truck stop.Â
Vick says the City will be using general obligation debt to help reimburse Hildebrand for the cost of putting in infrastructure.
What does that mean for Manchester’s taxpayers? Vick says property owners will not necessarily see any increases – but rather, it replaces debt currently held by the City that has been paid for.
After holding a public hearing on Monday night, the Manchester City Council approved the development agreement on a 5-0 vote.
