Manchester Dog Park Offering Doggie Photo Shoot as Fundraiser

The Manchester Dog Park is giving you a chance to get professional photos of your dogs this weekend.

They’re hosting a fundraiser at Seibert Park on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. It’s called Dogtoberfest and committee member Kevin Giess says it includes a doggie photo shoot.

The cost ranges from ten to thirty dollars, with half of the proceeds going to the creation of the dog park. The majority of the cost is for the fencing, which committee member Jo Schreck says is what they’re working on right now in phase two of the project.

The Manchester Dog Park will be located on the southeast side of Manchester – along South Brewer Street, just west of the city’s compost site and wastewater treatment site. The committee has raised about $13,000 for the dog park so far, with a couple more fundraising events coming up before the end of the year.

The committee now has an architect’s rendering of the future dog park, which they hope to have available for people to see on Sunday.

You can find more information about Dogtoberfest on the Manchester IA Dog Park Facebook page.
