Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott is returning to eastern Iowa this week.
Scott is hosting a Meet and Greet on Thursday at noon in Independence – his campaign says the address will be provided to you if you RSVP for the event. You can RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/meet-greet-with-senator-tim-scott-in-independence-tickets-747770229887?aff=KMCH
Scott is a businessman and politician serving as the junior United States senator from South Carolina since 2013. He has served in the South Carolina House of Representatives and the U.S. House of Representatives.
Scott will start his series of events across the state on Wednesday, meeting with the faith community, leading Bible study and talking with caucus-goers. In addition to his Independence stop on Thursday, he’ll also be hosting a town hall in Decorah on Thursday night.
