Operation Santa Claus reaches deadline

As the countdown to Christmas is beginning, so, too is the countdown to impact a child or family in Delaware County through Operation Santa Claus. Kathy Swift is a longtime member of the organization.

While the majority of the efforts are given to children, Swift says the gesture is not typically lost on the parents.

Over the years, Swift says the impact has been phenomenal.

Throughout the year, Operation Santa Claus is working to raise the money to finance this program. Swift says it’s the community as a whole that makes Operation Santa Claus possible.

While today is technically the deadline to submit applications to receive Operation Santa Claus gifts, member Tammy Eibey says they won’t turn latecomers away. Applications, themselves, come from a number of sources.
