NICC has fired its president.
The Northeast Iowa Community College board of trustees voted to terminate the contract of college President Dr. Herbert Riedel on Monday.
Riedel was placed on administrative leave on October 9th. He began at NICC in July of 2022.
The college named vice president for finance and administration David Dahms as acting president.
NICC continues to consider this a confidential personnel matter and is declining to provide further comment about Dr. Riedel’s employment at this time.
