Cheers for Fears Exceeds Expectations

The numbers are final in the 2nd Annual Cheers for Fears Fundraising event, held back in October at the Ryan Gymnasium.

 

That’s Mitch Peyton of Northwestern Mutual in Manchester, one of the organizers of the event. This year, the costumed dancers and party goers were entertained by the Pork Tornados. Money raised through ticket sales, an event auction…along with Northwestern Mutual’s matching fund and generous donations, was more than expected.

 

That money was given to the Northwestern Mutual Eastern Iowa Pediatric Oncology Research Fund, the Oncology Nursing Support Fund, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Peyton said they are already planning for next year.
