A farm shed and equipment were destroyed by a fire in Dubuque County.
The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. Sunday at the William Brune farm along Feeney Road near La Motte. He said he found the building on fire after his dogs woke him up.
Brune told sheriff’s officials he plugged in his tractor inside the machine shed overnight to warm up.
Crews from the La Motte, Centralia, Key West and Asbury fire departments all responded.
The shed and equipment inside are considered a total loss, with an estimated value of $200,000.
No one was injured.
