Independence Man Arrested for Child Endangerment

Independence Police have arrested a man in connection to a child endangerment case from November.

In a story first reported by KWWL, 26-year old Jack Klein was taken into custody Saturday and faces multiple charges including possession with intent to distribute magic mushrooms, child endangerment resulting in bodily injury.

Klein became a suspect in the case after the Iowa Department of Public Health and Human Services notified police on November 19th of a child ingesting THC in a home along the 500 block of Enterprise Court. 

Police executed a search warrant on the home and found multiple controlled substances and drug equipment. 

If convicted on all charges, Klein faces up to 22 years in prison.
