Cases of Illness Increasing in Delaware County
Reminders from Public Health Heading into Holiday Gatherings

It seems like everyone is getting sick right now. From the office to school to family members, illnesses are really starting to circulate in Delaware County and surrounding counties.
Delaware County Public Health Manager Krystle DeShaw says numbers are increasing for the state as a whole.
If you have tested positive for COVID, DeShaw says Public Health is recommending that you isolate for five full days and then mask up through Day 10.
While illnesses seem to be hitting especially hard lately, DeShaw says it’s pretty typical to see these upper respiratory infections this time of year. And with everyone getting ready to gather for the holidays, she says there are a few things to keep in mind to help prevent sickness from spreading.
If you have any questions about any of the illnesses circulating or would like further guidance, feel free to reach out to Delaware County Public Health.
