State Senator Zumbach Announces Run for Re-election

State Senator Dan Zumbach of Ryan has officially announced his run for re-election.

Zumbach, a Republican, is running for another term in Senate District 34, which includes all of Delaware, Buchanan and Fayette counties, as well as parts of Dubuque and Black Hawk counties.

“My time in office has been marked by remarkable accomplishments in the Iowa Senate,” said Senator Zumbach. “We have eliminated the inheritance tax in Iowa, we passed massive income tax relief for hard-working families, and we passed the biggest property tax relief bills in the history of the state. Additionally, we have passed policies to expand opportunities for value-added agricultural products, safeguard agriculture from political extremists, and protect our brave law enforcement officers.”

Senator Zumbach is a farmer in Delaware County. He’s also a member of the Farm Bureau and the Lutheran Church. In the past, he served on the West Delaware School Board and Delaware County Fair Board, served as a Delaware County 4-H leader, was an official for the Iowa High School Athletic Association and was a member of the Ryan Lions Club. He and his wife, Michelle, have four children and eight grandchildren.

“Our state is making great strides forward, and I know there is more we can do. This is why I am excited to announce I am running for another term to represent Senate District 34 and continue the important work we have been doing. I am looking forward to talking with my constituents about what we can do to grow and strengthen our rural communities and make Iowa an even better place to live.”

To our knowledge, no other candidates have yet publicly announced a run for Zumbach’s State Senate District 34 seat.
